Changing your
Screen Resolution Settings
to either...
800
x 600 (for Volumes 1 thru 14)
...or...
1024
x 768 or 1280
x 960 (for Volumes 15 on up)
How
do you change your Screen Resolution Settings?
Follow
along. It's easy...
Above,
you see a typical computer screen image. Ok.
Look
for the round and oval areas I've shaded in red,
to
show what needs to be done. See the "Start" menu
button
above, in the lower left corner of your screen?
Click
it.
Now
you see the "Start Menu" at left. See where it says
"Control
Panel" (where I've shaded it red)? Click it.
Now
you see your "Control Panel" folder. Double-click
"Display".
A
small "Display Properties" screen appears. Click the
"Settings"
tab.
Now
you should see something like this, which includes a
slide
bar (shaded in red). Click on it, and while holding
down
the mouse key, drag it from one side to the other.
The
screen resolution numbers right below it will change.
For
CD-R Volumes 1 thru 14, you will want to adjust this to
say
"800 by 600 pixels".
For monitors 19" and larger,
just
select the lowest setting available.
For
CD-R Volumes 15 on up, you will want to adjust this to
say
"1024 by 768 pixels",
or better yet, "1280 x 960 pixels"
if
you have this particular resolution...
After sliding the bar to the desired setting, click "Apply".
After
you see the screen flicker, everything on-screen
will
now appear to be either smaller or larger. Now you
may
put your CD-R into the disc drive, and it should start
right
up. If it doesn't, try starting it from your "My Computer"
folder,
or refer to "System Requirements" on the Main
Index
of our website. When you're done viewing the
disc,
slide the Screen Resolution bar back to where it
was
originally, and click "OK". You're done!
Extremely rare problem, but if it happens...
If,
when playing a disc, the pictures look distorted, or
out
of focus, you may need to adjust your monitor's screen
boundaries
(right, left, top, bottom). Refer to your monitor
manufacturer's
instructions for doing that.
