AA 1970 USGS MAP BOOK.   Apparently prepared by the Engineering Office of the Ann Arbor RR, these are highly detailed, full-color topographic maps, originally issued by the USGS, which have been cut into 8.5"x14" segments, and plastic comb-bound with cardstock covers, to show the Ann Arbor RR in it’s entirety, by using the USGS map segments.  Detail-wise, what more can you ask for?  Yard tracks, sidings, roads, hills, valleys, swamps, structures, even tiny black squares which indicate homes are all shown  14.5"x8.5"...(Org)...+/-40p...$65.

ADLAKE 1950-ish PRODUCT CATALOG:  Hardware & Fixtures.     This is the official, fully illustrated sales catalog of the Adams & Westlake Co., manufacturers of railway car hardware and fixture items, such as car door parts, handles, locks, knobs, folding lavatories, racks, shelves, curtains, window sashes, faucets, gates, and other railway car accessories.  This is said to be one of the last, or “the last” one issued by the company, somewhere around 1950 or so.  Never used, overall in pristine condition, but there may be some slight stickiness along the very bottom right-hand corner of the book.  Nothing serious, can easily be fixed with the flick of your finger.  Price has been reduced somewhat because of this.  Superb illustrations throughout.  In original green binder with yellow logo & title.  Several of these are available 8.5"x11"... (19x,Org)...+/-100p...$33.

“AMERICAN RAILWAY TIMES” 1856 NEWSPAPER.  Choose from one of six daily issues of this RARE newspaper!  Printed by Haven & Jones in Boston, Mass.  Filled with a very WIDE variety of news pertaining to railroads all across the country, from operations to revenues to mergers, names of officials, problems plaguing the industry, you name it!  Makes for some tremendously fascinating reading!  Only four pages each, but page size is much greater than an average newspaper, 21" x 26" per page, and newsprint is much smaller.  Roughly seven vertical columns per page, with plenty of news.  Very minor rips along edge, and very few moisture stains, most unnoticeable.  Overall in very excellent condition considering age.  These have been WELL cared for.  The back one-and-a-half pages are filled with rail-related advertisements, some with painstakingly detailed ink etchings of the products offered.  One of the nicest ads for a turntable builder shows a very old locomotive & tender sitting on a cross-section of a steel turntable.  Circulation was only 8,000 per week, but how many still exist?...

Take your pick:

D&RG 1915 “CROSSINGS” Diagram Books.  Two books featuring very unique, fancy track crossing and bridge diagrams are offered below.  One is for "COLORADO LINES", and the other for "UTAH LINES".  Both are in a terrific "whiteline" format, issued either by the engineering or bridge departments, and are exceptional in appearance.  Wherever the D&RG tracks intersect with any other stretch of track, whether it be at grade, or overhead bridge, whether it be standard gauge, narrow gauge, tramway, traction, or electric, a diagram is shown for that vicinity in great detail.  Overhead roadway and foot bridge diagrams are also shown, wherever they cross the D&RG.  An astonishing amount of detail is paid to a wide variety of bridges, including not only overviews, but beautiful side views and dimensions of them as well. Diagrams also expose interlocking signal towers, depots, roundhouses, ore chutes, road crossings, rivers, and special structures (like grain elevators) in each of the vicinities shown.  Misc. construction and agreement details are provided with each of the diagrams.  Any diagrams for bridges re-moved prior to 1915 are also shown.  The "COLORADO LINES" book looks to have been originally drawn back in the 1880's, and has been revised with sheets added up through 1915, with 1915 being the date of printing.  "UTAH LINES" looks to be more from the 1900's, revised up through 1915 as well:
